The UK designed Hydroflow descaler is capable of inducing safe and stable radio signals at frequencies of 120-200 KHz into the water. Applying signals leads to the formation of stable crystals inside the water, and these symmetrical crystals do not stick to the surfaces and are washed away with the flow from the critical region (heat exchanger, boilers, etc.).
Crystal formation requires both anion (carbonate and bicarbonate) and cation (calcium and magnesium) to create stable calcite crystals which are calcium carbonate and magnesium. Water softeners remove cationic ions from the water and unbalance amount of anions and cations. HydroFlow descaler could not operate properly due to this unbalance and this is the main reason to omit water softeners from the system.

Relation between scale buildup and corrosion:
Hard water and soft water have different reaction in of scaling and corrosion.
Hard water = high precipitation - low corrosion
Soft water = Low precipitation - High corrosion

The water softener needs space for installation and operation but Hydroflow needs space and directly could be installed on the pipes.
